	Technical Spotlight	The New Way to Create Geometry The new smart drafting facility in STHENO/PRO ADVANCED™ provides the means to quickly and easily generate geometry without the need for construction lines prior to drawing. The Smart Drafting Tool allows construction lines to be automatically inferred between points created and displays them dynamically as the cursor moves inside the drawing area. 	Question & Answer	Your Design Questions Answered Question: I have two different STHENO/PRO drawings of factory floor layouts – one at a scale of 1:10, the other at a scale of 1:500. I need to copy data from the 1:10 layout into the 1:500 drawing. How do I go about that? Answer: STHENO/PRO allows you to copy elements from one scale to another on different drawings simply by using the copy/paste command. 1. Drawing 1 (scale 1:10): Select the elements/area to be copied 2. RMB -> Copy, select datum 3. Drawing 2 (scale 1:500): RMB -> Paste, position the geometry Note: Be aware that the copied geometry will adapt to the new scale, and therefore be drastically reduced in size Question: What do I need to do to generate pipe isometrics from an installation design created with MPDS4 FACTORY LAYOUT? Answer: The MPDS4 PIPING discipline generates these automatically using ISOGEN™.
