Question & Answer
Your Design Questions Answered

Question: How do I insert a STHENO/PRO drawing into a Microsoft® Word document?

Answer: Simply select the desired geometry in STHENO/PRO, then select Edit=>Copy to Clipboard (Ctrl+C). Open your Word document, and select Edit=>Paste (Ctrl+V) to insert the geometry as an image.

Question: Can I create a link from a STHENO/PRO drawing to another document or an external Website?

Answer: That functionality will be available in the next STHENO/PRO release, planned for later this year. Version 4.0, free to all maintenance-paying customers, will allow users to insert URLs, as well as links to PDF documents (relevant ISO standards, for example), or any other file that can be displayed in a Web Browser, directly into their drawing.

Question: I want to connect up 3D equipment designed in Pro/ENGINEER® to create a process line linked by conveyors. It is important to model the gradients of the conveyors, as there is limited space in the building. Can you help?

Answer: MPDS4 allows you to integrate Pro/ENGINEER models into your plant or installation design. You can use the Mechanical Handling Module to quickly and intelligently route your conveyors in 3D space, choosing the angle of the conveyor bed as it is placed. MPDS4 offers full clash detection to ensure your design works in the allocated space.
